“Victories Greater than Death,” by Charlie Jane Anders

I felt so… affectionately? towards this book. It was so kind. And yet it was quick and fun.

In particular, I loved the exploration of gender. The villain also had the most uniquely terrifying power — if he killed you, nobody could remember anything good about you.

I want to read the second one. I wish it was already out.
