Did not finish: Ancillary Justice (Ann Leckie) and The Long Earth (Stephen Baxter and Terry Pratchett)

Goodness gracious. I got to 50% on both of these books and then decided they were too dry to keep going. Which is astounding. They both seem popular, and I like science fiction.

Of the two, Ancillary Justice was more interesting (I loved the point of view), and I wonder about the ending. But it was slow enough that I dropped it.

I tried the Long Earth after that, hoping for a dose of Pratchett's humor, and getting long, long descriptions of camping trips.
