Nightwing Vol. 1: Leaping Into the Light by Tom Taylor

Most of my friends have heard me complain about modern superhero comics. I love comics, but it’s hard to pick one up and get a full story anymore. And they're often a little too thematically dark — I don't mind dark and complicated every now and then, but I also go to comics because they're nostalgic for me. I’m looking for some joy. I miss the single-issue adventures I would read in my grandad’s basement.

This comic was exactly the kind I love. It was heartwarming and funny. And it has a storyline with a beginning, middle, and end! (Well, end-ish. It is a comic book.) The art, particularly the Nightwing action sequences, was so creative and fun to read. This is the best superhero book I've read in a long time.
